Good article. I learned some interesting stuff I never knew.

Arsenic is a carcinogen. Low levels of exposure over a long period of time to arsenic and arsine gas (a byproduct of arsenic) have been linked to cancers of the GI tract (such as stomach cancer). Napoleon's favorite color was Paris Green which is an arsenic based pigment that under certain conditions produces arsine gas which would could easily lead to the stomach cancer. So he died from the cancer but he probably got the cancer from arsenic. I am publishing an article on Paris Green and its history and discuss this. Of course, cancer vs arsenic as his cause of death is splitting hairs and is widely debated by historians.
