@h-f-sylaj Thank you for this opportunity.
My favorite historical figure is Vincent van Gogh. I admire how he had a desire, a vision, an obsession and he followed it. He never gave up even when other people didn't believe in what he was doing. He never compromised and never quit. As a painter and a writer, I yearn for such unwavering confidence in my vision and work.
I do not believe you can judge the past by what we believe today. In doing so, we forget that humans are flawed and that change is inevitable. It also fosters the attitude that what we believe right now is the only right way to think and live. Yet we know that in 50 years (or less), the next generations will be judging us and have different ideas. Instead of judging (and by doing so we dismiss humans in the past as inferior), we need to learn from history so that we as a collective can grow and do better for all of humanity.
