I don't know his reasons for turning down the deal and I am not questioning them. But it is interesting for a writer who has made a lot of money from his craft to praise someone for choosing not to make money for their's. Why is making money as an artist seen as equal to selling out? Tim, I am pretty sure you have said before that it shouldn't be. If the deal did require any compromise on his principals, yes, it is awesome he turned it down. But that was not how you stated it in the article. No artist should be shamed for wanting to make a living from their art and no artist should be glorified for choosing not to either.
