I entered a photography contest in high school that was through a University. I won second place. The photo was a double exposure in black and white taken with an old Nikon F. Even then it was an old camera. This was in 1988. But I loved it. Anyway, the photo was little daisy-like flowers superimposed over a scene in the woods of trees and trunks. The flowers looked like little fairies. I had actually exposed the film twice in the camera (not in the darkroom) and then developed it myself. My high school was fortunate enough to have a dark room. I really wish I still had that photo. Maybe I need to try and recreate it. Though I don't have a film camera anymore. When I moved to Europe from America 2 yrs ago I had to sell the ones I had. I still regret not making the room for them.
Anyway, I agree. Competitions are bull. And that one for the Zoo could have been cool if they told people what they wanted the pics for. That was just seems like stealing.
