It has been a good start. Here is what I did and how I did it.
The Beginning
I found Medium in September of this year. I had never even heard of it before. I was Googling articles about working as a freelance writer. Little did I know that the article I chose would change everything for me.
I read the article. I don’t even remember who it was by. But then I saw the other articles suggested and pretty soon I had read my free allotment and was shelling out $5 for a membership. And $5 has been a lot of money for me lately as I have been off of work for health issues for over a month and have not gotten paid. But that $5 was worth every penny and more.
I went from reading about freelancing for clients to learning about writing for Medium. I went on to discover such top writers as Tim Denning and Shannon Ashley. Then August Birch and Shaunta Grimes. I joined the Ninja Writers group with Shaunta and Shannon (with another $5 deal that was worth the money). I read everything I could by these authors and more.
Shaunta had tried an experiment where she made an anonymous account to see if it was still possible to make money on Medium in late 2019. She admitted she did not put as much work into the account as she could of, but it certainly showed promise.
