Shelia says thank you! I was excited to see her lay an egg today! Most people give up on old hens, but she is wonderful for keeping the group stable. I find that flocks with only young hens need that older wisdom and guidance.

I love the thought about the angels as well. It makes being woken up by crowing much more tolerable!
