Thank you so much about Zoë. Losing her was really hard.

There is a superstition I have seen in chicken circles that the chick that is your favorite will inevitably be a rooster! 🤣 Apparently it happens all the time.

I was shocked that Zoë was a girl. I had suspected she was but didn't dare hope. And I had 2 experienced people tell me she was a boy. So when she finally reached maturity and I knew for sure I was pretty excited.

Roosters are awesome though. It is so sad so many can't have them or can only have one. Could your friend keep your namesake? Roosters often make the best pets.
