Yes! My grandmother was raped and gave birth out of wedlock. She was sent to one of those "Christian" homes to be pregnant and have the baby. When her parents came down to pick her up the day after the baby was born, her father (my great grandfather) insisted on seeing the child and then said, "Well, he doesn't look like he eats much." Thankfully they brought my uncle home with them.
