You are right. It isn't humorous. It causes so many problems. Last week, just after we made this trip, a Kosovar policeman was killed in a shootout with Serb supporting terrorists leaving behind a wife and 3 young children. It is coming out that none of the terrorists seem to actually be from Kosovo but were sent here instead as mercenaries. 5 million Euros worth of weapons were found with them. Their intent seems to have been to take over the government of Kosovo in Pristinë.

Serbia denying Kosovo independence gives creedence to these nationalist groups. But the prime minster of Serbia, Alexander Vučić, continues this harmful rhetoric anyway. I believe it is a way for him to deflect from his country's very real problems. But of course he would continue the old worn out tale about Kosovo since he was Slobodan Milošević's Minster of Information and Propaganda. How he is now the Prime Minister is beyond me. He belongs in the Hague for war crimes.
